All programs will start at 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated and are approximately three hours long. Please make appropriate arrangements in your call schedule. A light supper will be available at 5:30 p.m. By the completion of this lecture the participant will be able to:
  1. Discuss the perceived reasons for the Medical Malpractice Crisis.
  2. List the legal components of medical negligence.
  3. Explain why Informed Consent and Physician-Patient Communications/Rapport are one's first line of claims prevention.
  4. Describe the components of a complete medical record.
  5. List do's and don'ts if sued.
  6. Define Binding Arbitration
  7. List the advantages of Arbitration over traditional courtroom dispute resolution.
  8. Sequence steps involved in implementing Arbitration in one's practice.
