All programs will start at 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated and are approximately three hours long. Please make appropriate arrangements in your call schedule. A light supper will be available at 5:30 p.m. By the completion of this lecture the participant will be able to:
- Discuss the perceived reasons for the Medical Malpractice Crisis.
- List the legal components of medical negligence.
- Explain why Informed Consent and Physician-Patient Communications/Rapport are one's first line of claims prevention.
- Describe the components of a complete medical record.
- List do's and don'ts if sued.
- Define Binding Arbitration
- List the advantages of Arbitration over traditional courtroom dispute resolution.
- Sequence steps involved in implementing Arbitration in one's practice.
