The Cooperative of American Physicians (CAP) and the Mutual Protection Trust (MPT) were founded in the mid 1970's in response to the escalating cost and shrinking availability of medical malpractice coverage for California physicians and surgeons. In serving more than 10,000 members over the years, CAP has developed significant expertise in claims management, risk management, and third party administration services. Now this expertise is available to a variety of businesses and industries, along with our traditional healthcare clientele.
